The following Lock On audio sound slider settings should be used with this sound pack:

MASTER VOLUME = 100%

MUSIC = 20%
RADIO = 35%
ENGINES = 100%
MECHANICALS = 100%
EFFECTS = 100%
WIND = 100%
WARNING = 50%
COCKPIT = 85%

After flying last night I was impressed with the in-pit sound impression of flying in a battle space.

I get some of the sounds from good quality airshow DVDs etc, but it’s hard to find good quality raw audio recordings which are also useable for constructing loops, that aren’t also affected by wind blowing on the mic, crowd noises, particularly screaming babies and toddlers, announcer narrative/dialogue, and worst of all, that loud pain-in-the-butt music that is always played at airshows. (ggrrr!).

The problem is that you mostly have to remove the best parts of any cool flyby recordings, because these don't work within the basic loop framework that Lock On allows at the moment. The result is that even though I use only real engine and missile sounds, these still don’t sound exactly real because you have to alter them so much to get them to work in loops … otherwise, after 15 mins of flying to your IP the loop becomes obvious and tedious, so I have to put a lot of effort into disguising the loops. Wink

I suppose one day a sound-engine will be built that can re-play a small library of genuine recordings, and thus sound more authentic. A lot more can be done but it needs a specialised sound engine architecture, but that will take a suitable budget and time to develop.

I have also recorded some sounds myself from RAAF aircraft, and from visiting air forces. Most of the weapon sounds I have synthesised from other sounds because genuine raw weapon sounds don't record well and are hard to find, or else they don't work well in loops.

L'auteur a trouvé des bugs dans son addon..
Il la enlevé de son site et prepare un addon 7.2 pour ce soir ou demain.

oui j'ai vu un probleme sur la prononciation eject de betty et nadia

la bonne chose c'est qu'on va avoir de la grosse respiration lors des G

I’ve discovered a small problem with the v7.1 pack tonight, caused by the fact that a LOMAN zip can only contain one version of the same file name, which means that it has placed the US Betty sounds where the Nadia sounds should be, and also replaced the "Eject"! enunciation … with the ejection sound effect. Doh! Crying

It doesn't matter too much though, because I have the solution sorted, which also involves adding high-g breathing sounds to the sound pack (as per the splash6 movie); so v7.2 will replace v7.1 in a day or so.

I'm removing v7.1 from the server until this time, hopefully v7.2 should be available tomorrow over Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience peeps.

I've finished initial testing of the new high-G breathing sounds during guns-only and low-level flying, in both the Russian and US aircraft, and it really kicks butt. Wink

Elle est compatible Loman. Mais il faut dezziper le premier dossier. A l'interieur tu auras 3 zip que tu installes avec Loman.

J'ai tous bien instalé avec loman et y a des truc qui marchent pas comme le souffle à cause des G ect ...

moi ça marche et c'est hallucinant la respiration difficile du pilote n'est pas là en permanence juste quand tu prend des g bref l'immersion est au rendez vous
le chat radio est superbe et avec the music of maitre curli on a un super pack son

je crois que pour que ca marche il faut les comms en US, seulement je sais plus comment on fait , si quelqu'un pouvait nous aider....

Benh en faite essayer de mettre Betty en VO sous les options audio dans LockOn.

Il a changé le fichier MAXG de Betty.

Si ca ne marche pas alors il faut copier tous les fichiers installés dans le répertoir Englishversion\computer dans FrenchVersion\computer
