In manual mode pilot switches off thermostat, so radiator is no longer automatically regulated and moves to streamwise position, roughly 60%. You can't close it or fully open, effectively you cease control of it.


Bf 109 F-2:

Max Continuous Power: 1.18 ata
Max Combat Power: 1.28 ata
Emergency Power: 1.3 ata and higher

Water radiators: when manually controlled, they have only two positions: fully open or fully closed.
