Les Osprey oui, mais l'Ouganda aurait perdu un a deux Mi-25 également lors de la même évacuation. Après la collision en masse de l'année dernière, il doit plus en rester beaucoup !

Je pense que JB ne demandait nullement une "thèse" sur la question, mais une simple phrase un poil plus détaillée que le titre, pour que les gens sachent à quoi s'attendre avant de cliquer sur le lien. Par exemple : "Des tirs ont atteint des Osprey américains en mission d'évacuation de ressortissants au Sud Soudan".

Sérieusement , je n'étais pas au courant des évènements au Sud Soudan, ce qui ne veut pas dire que ce n'est pas digne d'interêt

Peut être que tf1 en parle beaucoup mais je ne regarde plus les chaines françaises

Pour info, actuellement seuls les usa ont des ospreys mais j'admet que le titre aurait put être complété par au Sud Soudan.

J'ai donc complété le titre

A propos je viens de lire qu'Israël a signé pour des Osprey. Mais il faudra attendre un peu avant qu'ils les reçoivent.
Pour le moment ça ne parle que de 6 machines.

JUBA - Four aircraft engaged in an evacuation exercise have been shot at in South Sudan, sources who preferred anonymity, have said.

The aircraft, two Ugandan Mi-24 attack helicopters and two jets of the Bell make were shot at immediately after they left Bor, in Jonglei province in South Sudan with the evacuees.

Two Americans were also caught up the fire and have since been taken to hospital for further treatment.

One of the planes belonging to the Americans was hit and flew back to base with a fuel leak, but did not crash.

On Friday, the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF) evacuated a batch of Ugandan civilians from the ongoing violence in South Sudan.

The civilians were evacuated from South Sudan’s capital, Juba and arrived at the Entebbe International Airport.

The plan was that more nationals would be evacuated from the violence-plagued neighbour on Saturday.

Ugandan soldiers have been deployed in Juba following a request by the country's government to help secure the city.

The first batch of special forces soldiers helped to secure the airport and assisted in the evacuation of Ugandan nationals from Juba, the scene of a week of fierce clashes between rival South Sudanese army units.

Seven Ugandans were injured in the fighting, prompting the Ugandan government to make arrangements for their evacuation along with other nationals.

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Gunfire hit three U.S. military aircraft trying to evacuate American citizens in a remote region of South Sudan that on Saturday became a battle ground between the country's military and renegade troops, officials said. Four U.S. service members were wounded in the attack in the same region where gunfire downed a U.N. helicopter the day before.

The U.S. military aircraft were about to land in Bor, the capital of the state of Jonglei and scene of some of the nation's worst violence over the last week, when they were hit. The military said the four wounded troops were in stable condition.

The U.S. military said three CV-22 Ospreys — the kind of aircraft that can fly like a helicopter and plane — were "participating in a mission to evacuate American citizens in Bor." A South Sudan official said violence against civilians there has resulted in bodies "sprinkled all over town."

"After receiving fire from the ground while approaching the site, the aircraft diverted to an airfield outside the country and aborted the mission," the statement said. "The injured troops are being treated for their wounds." It was not known how many U.S. civilians are in Bor.

After the aircraft took incoming fire, they turned around and flew to Entebbe, Uganda. From there the service members were flown to Nairobi, Kenya aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17 for medical treatment, the statement said. [...]
