~S~ et Bonjour a tout le Monde!
I´m proud to inform the Community that a new Virtual Outfit is about to start operations.
The 475th Figther Group "Satan´s Angels" will be declared "Combat Ready" very soon.
Actually, the Website of the Group is under construction, and will be opened ASAP.
The name "Satan´s Angels" is historical, and we DO NOT endorse, or support Satanism or any other religious aberration.
The name was kept only for historical reasons.
The true 475th FG "Satan´s Angels" was operating from bases in New Guinea and later in the Philippines from 1943 to 1945. Many of its pilots were Top Aces, the more representative of them being Thomas McGuire, the second ranking US Ace of WW2 with 38 victories.
Charles MacDonalds was the Group Commander from late 1943 to the end of War. He bagged 27 confirmed victories during WW2.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was the plane that equipped the three Squadrons that were part of the Group: 431st FS "Hades", 432nd FS "Clover" and 433rd FS "Possum". There was a HQ section or flight, too.
The virtual 475th FG will participate in online wars, and of course will fly whatever plane will be at hand. We will fly for the Allied (red) side.
As soon the website will be online, I will post the link here and will open the recruitment office.
Thank you! Merci!
