Here's the readme:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hurricane_Multiskin_v1.
======================
Notes/Comments
==============
This will work with BoBII patched to version 2.03 or later.
It is the first implementation of automatic skin selection to match squadron/Staffel. This one affects Hurricanes only.
I have compromised on the number of skins here (to keep the download size manageable) so only 11 skins are used for now.
Primarily, this adds variability to the Instant Action Missions (Historical and Generic).
Installation instructions.
==========================
Browse to your BoBII installation folder. By default this is C:\Battle of Britain II\
Place the download Hurricane_Multiskin_v1.zip in this folder. Now unzip by right clicking followed by "Extract to here".
It should then
1) create a folder \Battle of Britain II\Multiskin and
2) add some files to \Battle of Britain II\Multiskin\MultiSkinTextures\
To check this has gone ok, look into \Battle of Britain II\Multiskin. There should be two new files:- 834e_HurriMain.ms and README_Hurricane_Multiskin_v1.txt
and in \Battle of Britain II\Multiskin\MultiSkinTextures\ you should see 11 new textures with names such as Hurri_DZE-L1926.DDS.
If your installation is on your d: drive or somewhere else, simply do the same there instead.
Alternatively, you could extract to another temporary folder and copy over manually if you really prefer.
Known issues
============
If you fly any plane other than the Hurricane and you meet AI controlled Hurricanes, there is a 10 second loading pause.
This will be fixed in a later version. So this mod is probably for Hurricane pilots mainly, at this point.
In 2.03 you can only use Multiskin for a single plane type at a time. This will change in future versions.
Thanks
======
Thanks to Stag for the skin for TP-X. A nice sheme for No 73 Squadron that is used as a bit of a "catch all" skin, as it's pretty .
Thanks to Osram for the tireless coding.
