Salut a tous, salut Pulsars

http://shockwaveproductions.com/bob/

Salut Pelican , resalut a tous

----------------------------------------
General

Q: Scott, may you please tell us more about yourself and your company?

Q: What is your opinion about the current state of the combat flight simulation sector? What is your approach in this industry, as a little company?

Q: What do you answer to people sceptic about BoB II, saying it is nothing but a lightly revamped BoB, and who reproach you with the fact that you don't build a new simulator and a new engine from the very start?

Q: Can you please describe us the main new features brung by BoB II, in comparison to BDG's latest BoB?

Graphisms

Q: Can you please describe us the strong point of your new graphic work on BoB II?

Q: What level of detail can we expect for northern France Map ? Will it be as detailed as the British Isles ? Or will it remain the same as in Rowan's BoB ?

Q: Are there new special effects made for BoB II? Are the original poor-looking in-flight explosions especially improved?

Gameplay

Q: You say your padlock system to be the "industry's best" one. What are its characteristics?

Q: In your new clickable cockpit, will a majority of switchs will get manually activable, or only a few of them - the most important ones?

Q: You tell us about an improved weather representation: any details on this point too?

Q: A great feature of BoB is the very good radio comm with wingmen and ground control. Did you try to improve this point even more?

Q: Was the gunnery improved? Or is the system still the same, but with new grahics (muzzle flames, tracers)?

Q: How accurate will be the air defense control and the early warning radar web, on the RAF side ? How will the observer corps be simulated? Are radars still unhistorically following German raids once they pass the British coast and get inland?

Damages

Q: Is the sometimes somewhat imperfect BoB's approach of hit and collision bubbles improved in BoB II?

Q: Is there anything new about the damage handling, particularly on their graphic representation, both inside and outside the plane (more evolved external damages, blood in the canopy, etc…)?

A.I.

Q: A.I. was already not so bad in BoB. A.I. in BoB II is said to be much better. Have you some more details about it, the way you built it and your own personal experience with the new A.I. you created?

Q: As the weather becomes more and more realistic, will the AI take in count the MTO limitations, especially about visual contact ? Will the bandits (and the covering wingies) lose visual contact when passing through clouds, enabling the player to hide into them like in real life? Will there be a part of random factors in all of this (experience of the pilot, angle of view, etc…)?

Q: Frequent collisions with wingmen is one of the more painful bugs in Rowan Software's BoB, and the BDG group's numerous patches never managed to solve this problem, resulting in excessively difficult flying with collisions enabled. Is this issue solved in this new opus ? Will it be possible to enjoy close formation flying with an AI which you also say to be "more real", "more human", and so making the same mistakes as us?

Special features

Q: What about a possible real Mission builder?

Q: Will the in-flight map screen be modified, by changing the map itself and improving the menus?

Q: No plan to introduce, soon or later, the night bombing phases in BoB II?

Q: Will the immersion on the airbase be improved? In addition to the already moving trucks, will there be something like eye candy bonus, with RAF pilots running to their airplanes, or better interaction with the control tower (like flares being fires during scrambles or during gearless landing approaches for instance) ?

Multiplayer

Q: BoB II is not supposed to have a reworked online/multiplayer engine. Is it your final decision? Is there any hope to have it someday later after the release, if BoB II gets successful?

Hardware & Software

Q: One of BoB's strengths was its ability to run very large number of planes on a low-end computer. What are the recommended specs for the new baby? Will the new features will greatly increase the amount of work for our computers?

Q: Can you tell us about your policy on the piracy problem? What is the exact nature of the new anti-hacking system you are developing?

Q: What do you plan to do with BoB II once it gets released? Do you plan to make something like small addons adding new functionalities to the game, or will you only try to patch the possible bugs?

Q: As a final word, what is in your opinion the most likely release date for BoB II?
