Hello,

Few years ago I started this project with the support of "patlog" in the drawings.
Project is moving very slow, cause I don't have the tools or the info for some parts.

For example I am searching and trying to find dimensions or drawings for the Mirage 2000-5 Glare Shield.
Also in search for good drawings with details of the HUD (Head Up Display).

I hope I may have the support from this forum and the members.

Here are some pictures from my project.

Main Body of the Center Instrument Panel:
Image Image

The project of the panels is on the way now....

I have to finish the MFDs (VTLs) the HDD (Head Down Display) and some other instruments.

PLEASE!!! If anyone can help me with drawings/dimensions for the Glare Shield (above the instruments) and the HUD.

Thats it for now.
Thank you for your time.

Some more pictures for my Mirage 2000-5 stick in a Thrustmaster Cougar base.

Image Image

And this is the label I have made to attach it to the Cougar base...

Some more progress with the panels.
FREQUENCY_REPEATER_Panel with the MASTER_WARNING panel...

and first layers of the FSDU_Panel.

Well one more panel is ready. The FSDU panel. Its below the left MFD monitor.
This panel will work with a touch screen behind. The only problem is that I haven't found yet small touch screen USB monitors.

Here are some pictures!
Image Image

Now the MFDs are in Drawing progress, and have much work to do with...

Image Image Image Image Image Image

Very slow progress cause I don't have much free time, plus no materials for the rest of the panels... I have to wait...

I got the left black shield that -5 has above the instruments.
My main problem is how I can make the right one... If I could find a way to scan it 3D and then via software mirror it.. that will be perfect so I can later on print in a 3D printer... BUT.. nonbleu

So.. here are some pictures of the instrument panel until now..!

Yes, panels are homemade!
A good friend of mine is making/cutting the panels cause he has a laser tool.

I am making the drawings.

Welcome to Check six, Mica !

Why don't you make your right glare shield with fiber glass and resin, just "mirroring" lhe left one ?

Check your MP.

How can I mirror the left one? It has many angles and its very complicated.

I am in the part of making the panels MFDs etc, before moving to the next hard step the electronic part...and here is where I need most of this forum support and help with ideas.

Below I am attaching some pictures of the left & right MFDs or VTLs as the original name is for the Mirage 2000-5 and also I am done with the HDD (Head Down Display)
Mirage 2000-5 has 5 digital monitors and thats why they call it -5 version.

Its one in the Head Up Display two the MFDs, one the HDD and there is one more on the right panel.

Image Image Image

and two pictures with the HDD
Image Image

Now my problem is how I will make a PCB for the MFDs and the HDD...
AND where I can find LCD monitors....
THE CONNECTION PROBLEM... :o

Thank you all!

You can build a "fake" one directly on your main board, using either hard cardboard or thin plywood. By copying the left glareshield bit by bit and fastening them to your instrument panel, you would end in reproducing all the many different shapes and angles.

Once it is done, just resin it, lay down a layer of glass fiber (or equivalent), some more resin, etc... Once it has dried, remove it and remove the initial shape of the so-called "fake".

That is basicely what I did with mine, even if I simplified a little bit the global shape.

Hope this helps.

Well...

MFDs and HDD are ready and UP... I just have to screw them to the panel!

Here are 2 pictures of them...

I will like your support and help in the research of monitors.
The sizes are 145x105mm 7" inches. (x2)
and...
130x130mm 8" inches (x1)

Hello to all members,

Well... cause I don't have detailed pictures of Mirage 2000-5 HEAD UP DISPLAY (HUD), so I can make a 3d model and then build it, and also I haven't found yet monitors with the dimensions I want, I moved to an other part of the project.

To create M2000-5 instruments digital.
All we know MFDe that BMS has or HELIOS Software... Both of those software get data from BMS and export gauges from F-16.

I've tried to make some modifications and convert F-16 gauges to Mirage... I did that in some of them, but it wasn't very realistic.

So, with the support from a friend of mine for the coding, we made a new software just for Mirage 2000-5 instruments and gauges.
We are in the first steps now, but they work PERFECT just the original Mirage2000-5.

The best way to see that... is by videos... (better than images )

ENJOY...

In the above video, there are some bags with the gauge, but now its OK!

Thats it for now...
Hope you like them...

By the way, can you tell us what matter you used for attaching your VTL, VTB, etc...

Thanx

Main body is made from aluminum.

All instrument panels are made from thick Plexiglas. It depends on the panel. Some of them have 2 layers plexiglas some 3, etc...

All panels have been screwed in the main body with screws I bought from shop that has screws nuts etc...

Thank you

Hi, Mica

- Oustanding job, you did with the dedicated 2000-5 gauges :notworthy

I want, no, I NEED them :Jumpy::Jumpy::Jumpy:

Can you confirm they are MFD exporter "imbeded" ?

- For the HUD, I didn't find much pix either... I can send you the few ones I have (not very accurate, sadly); be advised the Super Etendard HUD is quite similar. With those even poor quality pix, plus the dimensions you have on your main board, I'm pretty confident you will end in something really close to the real thing.
For mine, I did adapt to my main pannel dimensions, and to the screen I use for the radar VTM : it is a 9", bigger than the real one. That's because the original one is made in such a way that you don't have to accomodate your eyes when switching from the HUD to it: the little screen looks much bigger when you use it. If you keep the same dimensions (that I don't know ...) for your pit, I am affraid it would be to small to use it properly.

Keep on that good work

Mirage powa' !!!

Hey EnZo34

Good to hear that you like it... ;)

Those gauges are working with a new developed software. Its like MFDe. Similar but more light... Not with that heavy code that MFDe has.

You can move your gauges to any monitor you want, but the software must be installed in the computer that BMS is installed.

Its not working with network like MFDe is...

Now, as soon as I am done with one more instrument that I am making, I'll give you a copy!

Give me some time and stay tuned... ;)

Wish you had some dimensions/drawings from your ejection seat you made!

Regards

I don't have plans or drawings ....

... but I can do something for you : pictures and associated dimensions. Be aware, they will not be actual real ones. My seat is adapted to my pit; but I integrated some real parts that really fit correctly. So, my dimensions may not be too far from the real ones.
I'm not home for the next couple of days; I will do that next week. Give me your mail by MP.

Bets regards

@EnZo34

Pm has been send....

As for the panels... I want to inform that @dimebug has made them.
He has done amazing work, very professional and without his support... I would have been to 0 (zero). :notworthy

I am also looking forward for anyone that can help with this project to come true.
I am trying to make it look and work as much as the original. So if there is anyone that can help with pictures dimensions, parts etc.. I'll be very happy and I'll really appreciate it!

THANK YOU ALL
MERCI

Hi MicaGR!
Your Cockpit is fantastic!
Your software for Mirage 2000-5 instruments and gauges is awsome!!
I hope the software will be downloadable when it will be finish. I'm very interested.
