Welcome to the Race!
(Newsletter #14)
Having won the hearts of flight simmers world wide, TrackIR is now entering the realm of driving simulations - at top speed! Constrained by a small view from your traditional computer monitor, it is often difficult to see the optimum racing line, and hard to know where opponents are on the course. With TrackIR, it is now possible to see the apex of a hairpin turn before the turn begins, which helps the user to keep the car on the fastest line, as well as providing much better reaction time to any spinouts or dangers present on the track! In this newsletter we'll present some of the upcoming race titles that are taking advantage of TrackIR Enhancement, touch on Race Sim Central's new Driver's Emporium webstore, and share some recent TrackIR press you may be interested in.

The Games just Keep Rolling In
(Three more great reasons to get TrackIR!)

GTR
SimBin's astonishingly realistic FIA GT racing game has released a new downloadable demo, featuring full TrackIR Enhanced support, which you can download today. We've also worked with this group to create a TrackIR commercial featuring footage from the game at the unbelievable resolution of 800x600, which is setting forums abuzz worldwide. At full resolution, it looks just like the game will on your PC! You can download this video today as well.

Live For Speed
A demo of this great game is free to download, with the option to purchase the full game later for extra cars, race tracks, and features. Although we're waiting for the new LFS website to launch before we widely announce that TrackIR is built into it, the current downloadable demo of the game does have TrackIR Enhanced support. You heard it here first, TrackIR Friends, so Go Spread The Word!

Cross Racing Championship
Invictus has issued an official press release about their decision to go TrackIR Enhanced. Utilizing a new real-time physics module, Cross Racing Championship (CRC) lets you experience the thrills of high-speed on and off road racing across vast open terrains. One of the coolest TrackIR implementations so far, this gorgeous game goes so far as to move your character's head along with the view, which is totally cool for replays and multiplayer racing.

This is just the beginning, TrackIR Friends. Over the next year, you'll see tons of driving simulators and other genre games pouring out of the woodwork. For the ultimate racing experience, you'll have to play these great games with a TrackIR 3-Pro. Put your head in the game, and you will own the road.

The uber-popular race simulation news website Race Sim Central is embracing TrackIR and will offer reviews and editorials about the hottest race titles as they are released and enhanced by TrackIR, as well as featuring TrackIRs and TrackHats in their new online store, Driver's Emporium. Driver's Emporium recently opened its doors, with special deals on NaturalPoint products as well as a wide variety of other cool gifts and goods.
