Il s'agit bien d'une coque dans laquelle l'acheteur devra installer le faisceau de hats et poussoirs du Cougar . Nous ne fournissons évidemment pas le Cougar !
Pour faciliter le travail , tous les poussoirs seront déjà installés , il n'y aura plus qu'à dessouder ceux du Cougar pour les remplacer par ceux pré-installés .
Pourquoi ? Parce que le montage des axes et ressorts de manoeuvre de la détente et de sa sécurité est un poil plus compliqué que de dévisser les deux vis fermant les deux demi-coques du Cougar et sortir les hats de leurs embases pour les transférer dans la coque Tarmac Aces .

Seront fournis également les têtes de hat , afin de remplacer celles de F16 par des reproductions conformes à celles équipant la vraie poignée pilote de Mirage 2000 , ainsi qu'un adaptateur permettant d'installer la poignée sur une embase Tarmac Aces tout en déportant la connexion vers l'embase Thrustmaster .

Can you please explain me something. Lets say that i want to buy from you the stick for my cougar base. WHAT will you give me AND what do I have to do to make it work?

This is what he just did

You have the stick shape + pre-installed switches + hat head.

You will have to make some soldering to connect the pre-installed switches to Cougar electronic.
So original Cougar switches will remain in the Cougar.
But you have to remove the hat from Cougar to put them in Mirage stick and replace hat heads by those given with the stick to looks like Mirage 2000-5 hats.

Une question me vient, est-cequ'il est possible d'obtenir des pièces détachées de Thrustmaster? (des Hat par exemple, voir un stick complet sans l'embase)

J'ai choisi l'option 2 mais plus ça va plus ça m'intéresse

Trolbug... Can you find Mirage 2000 hats? So we will not have to open the F-16 stick?

Is there a way to just unscrew the F-16 stick from the cougar base and screw the Mirage stick? Can you make it like that?
Cause for someone that doesn't know very much about electronics etc... IT WILL NOT be easy to make it work...

I don't have the knowledge of electronics and cables... It will be very hard for me to make the changes for a F-16 stick to the Mirage to make it WORK...
Can it be more simple?

At any way... i believe that there will be a manual and also a profile for FOXY? and cougar CCP?

IMHO, Jojo misunderstood that point. Trollbug wrote that you'll get Mirage hat heads too. You won't have to remove your hats from the Cougar.

Une autre question pour moi : Je suis à 90% prêt à passer à l'option de vote n°1. Une seule chose me bloque : la matière. Quel est le rendu de la résine sur ce type de pièce ? sa longévité ? Est-ce que les pièces fines comme les gachettes et palettes seront aussi en résine ?
Le KG13 était aussi en résine ?

I wish the stick can have some metal structure... to make it feel more real. And some plastic...
I believe that Tarmac Aces can make a great stick... with the support from all of us!!!

Its TIME Mirage rise up in the simulation

I don't know why SOGITEC and DASSAULT is not helping... It will be a good advertisement for them... And they can make it to have many sales...

I have contact with SOGITEC and they told me that its only for army customers and not civilians.... etc....

Trollbug est-ce que tu peux confirmer, le manche Mirage 2000 comprendra les switchs, mais pas les HAT complets, seulement la tête, il faudra donc les démonter du stick Cougar.

Effectivement, je n'avais pas fait le distinguo entre hat head et hat switch. Enfin, ça ne change pas grand chose pour moi. Quitte à dépouiller un cougar, pas grave si ça doit aller jusque là...


PS : je ne sais pas si vous êtes intéressés par les ventes hors héxagone, mais je me suis permis de faire un peu de pub pour ce topic sur les forums ED et Globalfalcon.

Buzz I would also like to make advertising for sales outside France. Like here in Greece. There are many people that like Mirage.

Maybe someone can make a nice banner/signature... or something. Also write something like a short manual readme... to have it as a main structure for the advertising posts....

I would like to help as much as i can so we can have for the first time a Mirage stick....

Pour ceux qui (comme moi) n'avaient jamais ouvert un stick de Cougar.

Cougar:
- 6 switchs (2 pour la double détente)
- 4 HAT

Tarmac:
- 6 switchs
- 3 HAT

Well lets wait and hear some news from TARMAC...
If they have some pictures also or something to inform us....

jojo... as we said yesterday... if you have to modify your cougar stick for the Mirage... unplug the HATs etc... plus the PCB board to put it in the Mirage stick... that will be a disaster....

ONLY if you have a backup stick and can use it for the Mirage stick...
Cause if anyone has to do that solution... you will need 280€ for the Mirage stick PLUS the cost of a 2nd Cougar stick to use it for modifications...

HOPE TARMAC ACES will find a nice simple solution...

@Mica : for me, killing (temporarily) the F-16 stick isn't a problem. I fly only on the Mirage. I won't need the F-16 stick anymore. If I want to go back, I'll just have to solder the siwtches again.

For me the same.... i was searching for a Mirage stick for many years and thanks for a France friend who gave me a excellent support and then TARMAC ACES... This dream will come true..

What i am saying is, that... it will be very nice if they find a way to make the conversion as simple as it can be...

Can we have some answers from SOGITEC if they made their own PCB or they used the cougar?

Is there a way we can have support from SOGITEC? To help us?

Some personnal reflections:
- we must avoid to talk about that to Dassault. Entertainment is not their business. They already killed a Rafale simulator project from a former Dassault engeenier. Tarmac could have some legal trademarks problems.

- Thrustmaster is the first, and only one tomy knowledge, to make joystick for both military and players.
Sogitec is used to make expensive products for military. I don't see them to launch products for video games.
But If they kept some Cougar hardware they surely used the electronic interface. No sense to keep only the cougar base and change everything else.

Maybe we can try to obtain some HAT from Thrustmaster as spare parts. No need to tell why, but it may seems strange if 10 people ask for 3 HAT each:sweatdrop

I will wait to hear Tarmac's opinion and what they have done with this project...

I don't know... but sometimes it might be good to ask for support from other companies.

As for what you said jojo... yes... I think if 10 people ask for spare parts from thrustmaster... something might go wronk.... Why not Tarmac place the order to thrustmaster and sell them with the Mirage stick...

C'est délicat quand même, ça coûte plus cher qu'un Cougar, les 2/3 d'un Warthog juste pour le manche, et il faut sacrifier celui du F-16:sweatdrop

Je sais, et crois moi, je n'aurais jamais été dépensé 280€ dans un manche de BF-109 ou de Mirage III. Mais je ne pense pas être le seul passioné de 2000 sur ce site (14000 membres) et je ne pense pas non plus être le plus fortuné...

Tu sais, pour moi, acheter ce stick (et le cougar donneur d'organes) signifiera remettre à beaucoup plus tard une bonne upgrade de mon PC que je comptais faire pour mon anniversaire. Mais une occase comme ça risque de ne pas se représenter avant un moment. Alors mon choix est fait.

Quand j'ai acheté l'embase pour FCC2, je n'en avais pas encore, mais je savais qu'un jour, j'en achèterais un. Quand j'ai vu qu'un gars de Viperpit faisait une petite série d'embases, j'en ai commandé une. Maintenant, on n'en trouve plus.

Pour le stick, le choix est simple : ou craquer (si possibilité financière, bien sùr) ou faire une croix dessus.

I will place an order ONE for sure... and maybe and an other one for testing.
I will also make a search at ebay for used cougar, so I will not have to damage mine. Cause I have the FCC2 in my cougar.

I am just waiting to hear from Tarmac Aces some news...

Nouveau sur votre forum, mais déjà connu de certains d'entre vous (salut Bugz). Je viens de m'inscrire pour dire à ceux qui attendaient une poignée de 2000 depuis longtemps, qu'il ne faut pas laisser passer cette occasion, et que si vous avez peur de démonter votre poignée de cougar, il se trouvera bien une bonne âme pour faire un tuto illustré pour vous montrer comment faire, pas à pas, non? Alors n'hésitez pas à changer votre vote, on passerait de 4 à 12 kits, ce qui suffirait à lancer le truc!!!!

That will be nice... Even for FCC2 if anyone knows... there is a CD with a manual how to uninstall the base and the parts of the cougar and install the new ones.

The same will be with the Mirage stick. Many of us have the FCC2. Why not have now and a nice Mirage stick. I love Mirage fighters so... I will love to give my money to a France company rather to a US.
