GMX ANNOUNCES BATTLE OF BRITAIN: WINGS OF VICTORY

LONDON, UK (November 5, 2004) - GMX Media and Shockwave Productions have announced they have decided to produce a new WWII air combat game entitled, "Battle of Britain: Wings of Victory!" Earlier this year, GMX Media acquired rights to the former and critically acclaimed "Rowan's Battle of Britain." Shockwave Productions is developing the new title, which is scheduled for release in early 2005.

"With the huge success of Firepower Shockwave were the obvious choice for the development of Battle of Britain: Wings of Victory, we are glad to be working with the great guys at Shockwave again." commented COO for GMX Media, Eugene Perry. "The game is looking fantastic, we look forward to showing it to the public."

"The original game from Rowan released in 2001 is still the most complete and authentic reproduction of the Battle of Britain ever done. Fort probable. L'annonce colle juste avec le fait qu'il y ait maintenant un éditeur. Pour l'UK en tout cas, je ne crois pas que GMX édite ailleurs... Ils ont un distri pour le reste de l'Europe je crois.

Je ne crois pas que GMX a ete implique dans Janes Attack Squadron. C'etait Xicat Interactive avec Mad Doc Software. Si c'etait le cas ici je serais inquiet.

en résumé le BDG 0.99 risque fort de ne pas être diffusé à la communauté gratuitement, par contre il est fort probable qu' il soit complété de façon "professionnelle" et vendu par GMX.

Ne t'inquiete pas. Le BDG 0.99 sera distribue gratuitement comme d'habitude. Voici une annonce de Osram au SimHQ au sujet de 0.99 et de la continuation du travail libre sur le code.

Speaking personally again, I am sure there will "always" be unpaid and therefore open work I will do. Just a few days ago I was still working on 0.99, although now I had to ask Retro to go on with that. While we are not sure we will amke the dealine to get it into "this" edition of PC Pilot, there is no question at all that 0.99 will come and be freeware like all the other BDG versions beforehand.

Personnellement, je suis sûr qu'il y aura toujours du travail impayé et donc ouvert que j'effectuerai. Il y a quelques jours a peine, je travaillais encore à 0.99, bien que j'aie dû demander a Retro de pouvoir continuer a travailler sur ce projet. Bien que nous ne sommes pas sûrs de finir avant la date-limite pour etre inclus dans la prochaine édition de 'PC Pilot', il n'y a aucun doute que 0.99 sera termine et sera distribue gratuitement comme toutes les versions precedentes de BDG.
